Candace Suzanne Carpenter is a mezzo-soprano who has received her Master’s degree from Texas Tech University. While there, she performed many roles, including those of Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Madame Flora in The Medium.  She has also been a featured soloist in Mozart’s Requiem and in Bach’s St. Matthew Passion. She has attended Taos Opera Institute, Harrower Opera Workshop, and most recently, Brevard Music Center.  As part of the Janiec Opera Company, she performed the role of Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd and covered the role of Florence in Albert Herring. Candace has also been working closely with Amarillo Opera where she covered the role of The Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors, and will soon be performing the role of Julia Child in Lee Hoiby's Bon Appetit!
